I too think the US dollar rally is temporary and caused by deleveraging. The US is expected to run a budget deficit between 1 and 2 Trillion dollars this year not including the Iraq/Afghan wars.

This is way above the normal 6% of GDP level that causes currency crises in other countries.

What is currently happening in the financial markets is volume overwhelming the fundamentals. This will be corrected.
