Orgy: You have a year's food supply on hand. That, to me, is a perfectly valid response to our current economic scenario, even if the risk of a near total supply breakdown is only 5% or so.
BUT, I see you live in a city and presumably dependant on civic electric and water supply. If they go, what then, especially in winter time?
I think there is more than a remote chance of some such happening, but don't see how one can hedge against it. We live on a water source, so that would be okay if one has a means of purifying it.
I often think about these things. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Assume a self-sufficient farm is not feasible.
