We may not make much money, but we sure have a lot of fun!
Many Thanks to all!
I do believe the nature of this financial mess is such that there will be no exceptions in pain around the world from the collapse of the US economy and its empire. I do not think it will happen quietly, and I would suspect war is in the cards. How bad and who will be involved is unknown, but the US use every means possible including their military might to avoid the inevitable.
My biggest fear is the annexation of Canada in support of this and the pressure we will face to even be able to trade with the USA, by far our biggest trading partner which will force increased assimilation and loss of identity. This is especially the case if you believe in the peak energy theory since Oil will be necessary for the war effort.
Australia with its moat called the Pacific Ocean does offer an extremely similar cultural background, and since time is of the essence, waiting for global warming if it is indeed something more than a myth offers extremely fair weather compared to our 3 months of summer and 2 months of transition and 7 months of winter.
For the sake of everyone I pray my worst fears are never realized for what the citizens of North America face .... the decision is close but not final however, I'm tired of waiting for the shoe to drop by what I believe will be the inevitable collapse of the US empire which will make the period of social unrest after the break-up of the USSR since the majority had so little there.
I can not see who hyperinflation for necessities, food shortages, massive unemployment and civil unrest unseen for centuries unfolds?
What will stop those events from manifesting with a thoroughly corrupt regime sacrifiing the welath of a nation for so few beneficiaries?
