Interesting article, questionable sense of geography.

It's true that the Yukon River flows to Dawson City. It is also true that some placer gold was mined at Dawson.

But the author neglects to mention (and Shawn Ryan fails to explain, if it is indeed his contention that the White Gold area is the source of the Dawson placer gold) how the richest deposits of placer gold WERE NOT in the Yukon River Valley, WERE NOT in a place where the Yukon River flowed -they were up the Klondike River, in many cases substantially higher up than the Yukon River could have ever flowed. The deposits actually got lower in grade as they neared Dawson, indicating that, if anything, the source was NOT the Yukon River.

Probably nothing wrong with the companies or properties he's promoting, but be careful about the hype this guy is spinning. It is not factual, and is quite likely not what Shawn Ryan is saying, either.
