We may not make much money, but we sure have a lot of fun!
The weird thing is, I heard about AOI on Stock Gumshoe (stockgumshoe.com) which is a site I pay close attention to. Someone asked if it was a scam because a couple of pump & dump newsletters were touting it, and that's usually the case when those guys are involved - spin up a story, then sell out to the rubes.
Well in this case Travis (site owner) couldn't see much wrong with it and was considering buying it himself, so that was good enough for me. I take bears and shorts a lot more seriously than touts and bugs. Worked out too... had a 25% gain when I sold it to lighten up because I got mega bearish on the junior markets.
My call was good - I missed most of the damage of the last few months, but when I add it up, I'd still be ahead if I'd stayed in because of AOI. I swear, these markets are put there just to torment us. I mean look at NES. More great results and the sucker drops 9% like Mexico suddenly became Ecuador or something. Feh.
Speaking of the Ecuador Effect, it would be wise to study the politics of Kenya about now. I know very little about the place, but when big money is involved you almost always find government interference, so that would be my primary concern going into AOI at this point. Didn't matter before because no one knew if the oil was really there. Now it matters.
AOI is one for my radar now - It's against my religion to chase a stock - I'm basically a bottom fisher or an early birdl. In this case I was an early bird that dropped the worm...LOL!
