I have to agree with you about oil. The US wants it down for the election and with the EU in recession I think they will be able to do this with a little help from their friends. nudge nudge wink wink.

Here's a fun exercise for those interested in the real oil situation. Go to Google Maps and plug in Port Arthur, Texas. Get the satellite image up, zoom in, then scroll around until you find the tank farms. These tanks are massive and have roofs that float on top of the oil, so you can tell how full they are by comparing the shadow cast on the inside to the shadow cast by the tank itself.

Here's what you're looking at to give you an idea of the scale:
