2020 might be the end of the bear but all of us hard working ethnic families will be left with the ability to eat beans and rice for protein until 2050 or beyond because we will not have any money left to invest in the next bull. In fact the last bull probably began in the 50s ... albeit slow moving so ... perhaps the next bull begins in 2033 ... fortunately I'll be either gone or sitting in my own feces smiling having loss my sense of smell and either blessed by a caregiver or secretly pretending to be senile and enjoying the attention.

You know, I was thinking, what if this whole thing is just one giant snowjob and the Europeans come up with a plan that maybe doesn't fix everything, but kicks it so far down the road that a new sense of optimism ensues? We've got socialist govt. coming in all over Europe now. Well, what are socialists best at? Stabbing their constituents in the back, right? I know, it's far fetched, but then so is this crisis.

Likewise, what if peak oil is true (I'm pretty sure it is) but we've got one last run of cheap oil on the horizon due to Big Oil pulling all the stops and going after all the oil they've been sitting on for decades - one of the legends conspiracy buffs often trot out. That would drop costs across the board and blow the doors off all this gloom and doom, right? Marc Faber would have to find a new job - maybe selling Japadogs to tourists?
