NI 43-101 Technical Report Complete for Quebec Gold Property
=======================================================================
Anglo Canadian Uranium Corp. (TSX-V: URA) (the "Company") is pleased to
announce it has received an independent NI 43-101 Technical Report
completed by Michel Boily PhD, P.Geo, pertaining to the mineral
potential of the Poularies gold property located in the Abitibi
subprovince of Quebec. The Poularies property is underlain by Archean
synvolcanic tonalitic rocks of the Poularies pluton that intrude coeval
metavolcanic rocks of the Hunter Mine Group. The Poularies gold
property is located 15 kilometres north of a gold deposit made by
Clifton Star Resources (CFO on TSX.V), and is readily accessible to all
facilities and infrastructure. This deposit was instrumental in
attracting the company to the Noranda area. The Clifton Star deposit
was considered significant enough to attract a One hundred and Seven
million dollar JV agreement with Osisko Mining Corporation (OSK on
TSX). The main Poularies showing occurs in trenches exposing
gold-bearing cm-thick quartz veins containing 1 to 8% pyrite that
follow a small N10°E to N40°E- oriented shear zone in altered
(chloritized, pyritized and silicified) tonalite wall rocks. New gold
assay results show that the pyrite-bearing quartz vein material with
fragments of pyritized and chloritized wall rocks produced assay
results from 0.60 to 17.6 g/t Au.
President Len Harris states: "We are extremely pleased with the results
of our initial exploration at the Poularies Gold Project, and look
forward to continuing our exploration efforts in Q1 2010. With the
recent focus on this region by Osisko and Clifton Star, we feel we are
focusing our efforts on a highly prospective region, with a goal of
defining a new gold discovery."
The recent heliborne magnetic survey conducted over the Poularies gold
property allowed the identification of two linear structures
associated with magnetic low readings and oriented N35°E-N70°E and
N325°W-N340°W. The trenches forming the main Poularies gold showing
lie near the intersection of these two important linear trends which
may represent shear zones through which gold-mineralizing hydrothermal
/ metamorphic fluid circulated.
Anglo-Canadian Uranium Corp. will pursue the exploration of the
Poularies property through prospecting and geological mapping of
targeted areas associated with the main linear structures. In Phase I
of the exploration program, cleaning of the old trenches related to the
Poularies showing and stripping of nearby outcrops of moss and trees
will be performed during the spring of 2010. A resistivity/induced
polarization ground survey is also contemplated. Contingent on the
results obtained in Phase I, Phase II of the exploration program will
involve a drilling campaign on the principal structures.
The Qualified Person for current research efforts is Michel Boily,
PhD., a registered professional geoscientist with the Ordre des
Géologues du Québec.
