Ya, that whole BP scenario is ugly ugly stuff. The world did not need that.
In my opinion, bottom line is the fact that companies are drilling for oil many miles off shore and miles under the surface for the simple fact that the easy and lowest cost oil has already been found. Now after this off shore fiasco, off shore stuff is going to decrease in volume if not even dry up for a signifacant amount of time leaving yet higher cost oil. Also, this BP disaster is a green light for Govenments around the world to increase taxes on oil, oil production and so on and so on. Oil is going to increase in cost significantly from here.
Probably not a bad time to start figuring out which green types of up and coming energy are going to get the most attention in the years to come.
Maybe some one else can comment. It seems to me that AOI has these joint projects set up to help decrease cost risk better than most of the smaller oil companies??? Maybe it is just my wish rather than a reality... Not sure.
