Nice News Story
Canadian Stock Alerts - ALDA Pharmaceuticals Corp
Every once in awhile you come across a little company with a terrific story.
And I don't just mean the little company that hopes to make a pile of money but a company that could make money yes, but also have a great affect on just about anyone who uses the product.
There's a little Canadian company called ALDA PHARMACEUTICALS CORP. It's a British Columbia based company and was founded in 1996 by Dr. Allan Shapiro.
Now, let me share part of their recent news release dated August 7, 2009.
"ALDA Pharmaceuticals Corp. (TSX-V:APH - News)(OTC.BB:APCSF - News) ("the Company" or "ALDA") announces that, in tests conducted at an independent laboratory in the US, T36 Antiseptic Hand Sanitizer has been shown to completely kill the new H1N1 Virus (Swine-like H1N1 Influenza A virus Strain A/California/04/2009) in 15 seconds or less."
Now as if that wasn't enough to tell the story, a little further down in the same press release you would have read this:
"The Company is an Official Supplier of the 2010 Olympic Winter Games, 2010 Paralympic Winter Games, Canadian Olympic Committee, 2010 Canadian Olympic Team and 2012 Canadian Olympic Team for antiseptic hand sanitizer, disinfectant and disinfectant cleaning products."
More comments and details on the ALDA Olympic Games Connection
On the very surface, there appears to be nothing not to like. That said, I would also highly suggest that for anyone even remotely interested, do their own due diligence always.
Again here are the headlines of the last three news releases:
July 14th - ALDA Receives US Patent No. 7,560,422 for T36
July 15th - ALDA Pharmaceuticals Corp. Named Official Supplier for the 2010 Winter Games
August 7th - ALDA's T36 Antiseptic Hand Sanitizer Kills 2009 H1N1 Flu (Swine Flu) Virus in 15 Seconds
Just consider the hurdles getting through a patent process, the Health Canada regulatory process, and then winning the Olympic bid to become an official supplier. And here they are three for three.
As remarkable as it seems this is a fairly untold story. It's only my opinion but I have to think ALDA Pharmaceuticals is a company very worth keeping on your radar screen. Potentially, a terrific Canadian story indeed!
