I talked recently with an operations manager for a facility that uses Purell and apparantly they are having trouble getting product and customer service. Obviously, Purell is doing well here and they are having difficulty supplying everyone even on a local level. It is too bad that there is a lack of information regarding hand sanitizers and the benefits of a 70% alcohol content. In BC, hospitals, medical buildings, and even the police use Sween hand sanitizer which has a 70% alcohol content. Obviously someone on the Gov't level has looked into this, and to the average Joe consumer, they go on the false hope that Purell is the answer to all their hand sanitizer needs. In T36's favour, I have a bottle of Sween on my desk here and a bottle of T36 (sort of like the Pepsi/Coke challenge). There is no comparison subjectively speaking. T36 feels and smells better.
I did my own research at my local Save-on-Foods/Overwaitea and noticed that in addition to Purell dispensers at the entrance and exits, they do not carry any hand sanitizers with at least 70% alcohol content. The ones they carry are either Purell or some unknown brand with smelly beads and strange colours and again 60% alcohol. In addition to brand awareness and education of the public, T36 needs better retail exposure.
Obviously Alda is not going to publish big private orders, but I wonder with the hand sanitizer market is flourishing, with Purell announcing a 19% rise in sales, whether T36 is getting a piece of the action. Time will tell, and hopefully sooner than later.

I also share the concern of Alda's limited production capacity which may have issues keeping up with current demand and fulfilling the supply to the Olympics (on Alda's own coin no less). I certainly hope that is not an issue as that may slow any sales momentum that we have been building.
