Unfortunately these short positions only tell us how many shares were shorted on the particular day, the latest being May 15, 2014. What I would like to see is a daily tally of how many shares were shorted. Ideally, it would be great if we could see if a sell order is a short or not. A marker or symbol on the sell side marking it as a short sale and another on the buy side marking it as a short cover. That way we would get a much better idea of the games being played.
