Apoquindo Minerals Inc. ("Apoquindo" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:AQM) is pleased to announce the appointment of Bruno Behn as Vice President of Corporate Affairs. Mr. Behn is a Civil Mining Engineer with over 40 years of experience in mine development and management, having developed his professional career in Chile's state-owned ENAMI and Codelco - the largest copper producer in the world. In 1995 he was awarded the Merit Medal from the Chilean Institute of Mining Engineers and the Julio Donoso Award from the Chilean Institute of Engineers.
For ten years, Mr. Behn worked as Head of Mining Projects for ENAMI. He was the General Manager of Codelco's Salvador Division where he discovered new reserves and oversaw annual production of 90,000 tonnes/year of copper cathodes. During his tenure Codelco, productivity increased 60%. He also served as Chief of the Engineering Development Department for Codelco's El Teniente mine, overseeing its expansion from 1979-81. Mr. Behn was head of the Mining Engineering Department of the University of Chile from 1996 to 2001, and he continues to lecture there.
