"Friendly aquisition" of Prodigy Gold (Oct. 2012) / > 100k ounces in 2012
I will hang on to 3,000 shares post takeover. The rest I sold. I can't complain on my returns on PDG but can't help feeling a little betrayed. I am a little ticked off with myself because I had met some of the Players such as Brian over the years at PDAC and Cambridge House Shows. I really thought they would have done better for retail investors. After trading junior mining stocks for thirty years you would think I would have known better. I have a number of friends/acquaintances locally who like to pick my brain (slim pickings to be sure). I always tell them the number one thing to remember, in my opinion, is that, anybody involved in the operations and financing of junior exploration companies cannot be overly burdened with principles. My wife once accompanied me to a PDAC show and while there she asked asked why I enjoyed attending PDAC so much. I replied I like the thrill of it and likened it to immersing myself in a shark tank.
