I understand the 'only vote once' restriction but I'm saying that often NOTHING happens, no change in vote, or Total Points.

I also understand that I can only vote once for a post. Multiple clicks shouldn't and don't change anything.

'Thumbs up'  should change your 'Total Points' but they didn't when I did it for you.

Other times everything works and votes are recorded and Totals change.   Just a little confusing.
