When sometime ago Newmont announced that alliance with CGP, a small junior already exploring in Ecuador, there is a suspicion that there may be more to what is being announced. 

Now, this is just a theory no facts to support what so ever, could this alliance be really more for the connection that CGP already established in that country than anything else?   If so, that would mean they already have a foothold in Ecuador and will be in the best poistion to bid for ARU. 

Is that a plausible scenario?
