You are correct.  It would be wild speculation to suggest HSBC buying a few shares of ARU is somehow connected to a creeping takeover by Chinese interests.  

However I also suggest your idea that someone is trading a less than 10%

position in a manner that continually reduces their cost falls into an even higher level of speculation.  Do you really think they are that smart??  Can you remember any precedent.  If anything they buy high & sell low.
