"We are doing our best to get clarification and we want it just as much as anyone. We continue to believe that the government sees the tremendous potential and benefits that mining can bring and that they will create a framework (laws, policies) that will encourage the growth of this industry. They have had presentations from international mining experts and economists very recently that have clearly outlined the international successes and failures and the structures associated with them. One of the less-than-successful examples presented to them was Mongolia, which instituted a windfall profits tax on mining and has seen mining investment dry up since then."
