But as it says in the Serenity prayer :

Throughout history the Ecuadorian army has been very fond of the third line. In all this discussion of Correa's power, it seems to be forgotten that they are a very important institution and that many of the landowners that will benefit from mining have a strong relationship with the army. Correa has to keep this in mind when creating taxation regimes that might piss them off.
