Bman1. There is nothing about your question that would warrant the thought of removal. I keep an eye on a couple of boards where if someone mentions anything potentially negative a 100 members want to trash them. I’m glad that isn’t how this board runs. Safeharbour has done a great job on setting the tone and everyone’s support makes this the best board around. As to post Bre-X changes most of the changes that occurred have to do with standards for collecting, testing, compiling and reporting data. NI 43-101 reporting criteria, use of quality control standards in sample prep, certification of labs, etc came about to address the fraud part of Bre-X. There are laws that regulate what companies can supposedly do but if you want to circumvent them there are ways. Being know for its sleaziness and ‘lack' of ethics there isn’t anything that would surprise me about what Barrick would do. That said. Indonesia was/is a much more corrupt place then Ecuador. I haven’t seen anything to indicate Correa or any of the others is corrupt. In fact, most of their actions seem to be very constituent driven even if we view them as very misguided. Add to the mix that there are many eyes on ARU/FDN and I don’t think there will be any secret deals or end runs. I’m not sure who mentioned it but waiting until the next change in government is a viable solution if this Gov’t gets to strange. … Been There
