Personally I take it as a huge positve. I've been reading the articles put together by Soto and that Latin rag (Presna?) for months speaking of such proposals. The notion seemed so absurd that I had a hard time taking it seriously. How ever far back in your head you put it, you had to keep wondering if Correa would slip off the deep end and in a fit of drunken power follow his friend Chavez on the path to self distruction. Correa in a very aggresive way has proved beyond a doubt that he isn't going to let this happen. He has become quite vocal over the past couple of weeks making sure his people know that this bs green agenda is not part of Ecuadors future. I'm impressed, he just may be the pragmatic leader he's always claimed to be.

IMO, he's going to take more than he should BUT what's left will be profitable and we will have our day in the sun.
