Agreed. Just a couple of notes.

When Goldcorp put in the offer for Virginia's Eleonore back in December 2005 Gold had just pushed through $500.

Virginia had not done a 43-101 on the project. There was absolutely no coverage on the company except a couple of the news letter writers like Paul VanEden and the Coffin Brothers. Word on the street was that they had proven up around 2million ounces. The Roberto veins were hard to model, but at the time of the offer I had them at about 4.5m ounces- open along strike and grades improving at depth. I'm surprised to see Goldcorps numbers posted from a year ago and will be absolutely floored if they don't report 7million plus ounces by the time they take it to production.

Lastly the Virginia deal was reported for something like the $425 you mentioned but was quite a bit higher when the deal finally closed. For each share of Virginia you held, you got .4 of a share of Goldcorp and .5 of a share in the new Virginia. Goldcorp ran from the low $20's to the mid $30's adding about 50% to the takeout price for those who stuck with it.
