doctor ankerwho, goldcorp and barrick arent the same. barricks production is declining, but goldcorp has a strong growth profile. its penasquito project alone has about as much gold as fdn and it is primarily a silver deposit with 1.2 billion oz ag. if goldcorp buys fdn i will tender my shares but if barrick wins, no way will i take barrick stock. barrick is an accident waiting to happen with a hedge book 5 billion dollars underwater and getting worse almost every day. if it wasnt for barricks well-connected friends in high places we could see a major gold company go bankrupt in the middle of a bull market in gold. if barrick gets fdn i will sell my aru shares for cash even if it means missing out on the new exploration company.
