For whatever reason the verbal media have always loved to embellish & salivate over down days or prices as opposed to the same move on the upside. You are bang on with "plunge". Let me add "massive selling", "complete route", "deluge" & "collapse".To listen to them you would assume there are only sellers. They never seem to realize or mention the fact that each sale also has a buyer on the other side.
