F.F. what is your take on this?

I tend to agree with your pick of reason number 3, but the timing does not seem right. If Keith Baron resigns because of an impending buyout, this does not seem to be the right time for such an event (i.e., the polictical cloud has not been lifted yet). Or it has been lifted but we just don't know yet?
