Reminds me of the days when I was on the trading desk and at least once a week was asked by various counterparties to participate in a "shady" transaction. A common request was to change the price of an earlier transaction, either up or down, at which point I would be made whole on the next deal. Never participated in any of this activity but very sure that this went on all the time.
