if this legislation passes, i expect aru would get to pick which 3 concessions it wants to keep, i.e. the ones where they have done all the work. i am trying to look at the maps on the company web site, and despite the clutter it looks like aru can keep the la zarza concession, which includes all of fdn, as well as 2 other concessions. i'm not sure if that includes the place the western extension might be. if it is, they can also keep both of the concessions to the north and south. i am no geologist, so i'm not sure if they would have to give up either the concession to the north or south to keep the one to the west, which includes some of the pull-apart basin. maybe someone who knows better than i can look at the regional geology map.
