The Canadian government should at least launch a an official diplomatic protest.
Canadian and other citizens have had their property stolen in violation of international law.
Beyond that other than law suits I don't think there is much we can do at this point.
Trade sanctions would not be the answer. They just result in tit for tat retaliations that would probably make things worse for us.
The best we can hope for at this point is that international pressure causes them to change their minds about some of the aspects of the legislation or that the people of Ecuador decide that they have had enough.
