My flight is just leaving so have to be brief. I think we will have a much clearer update out very soon and hopefully we will also be able to provide a good translation of the final mandate that was passed, which contains different wording to the earlier Spanish-only draft we provided a link to earlier. We did that to try to give as much info as possible. Clearly that was a mistake. There will likely still be some things that won't be totally cleared up (still early days) but our CEO and other members of the management team have been in Ecuador since early last week to get as much clarity as possible and to work to influence the outcome. I'll be back in the office tomorrow and fully briefed.

Thanks for being polite <safeharbour>; most people haven't been (and I can appreciate why). This was totally unexpected to us, given Correa's strong support of mining over recent months (and the fact that he squelched previous mandat attempts).
