Correa himself is dead set against free trade. In an introduction written for a book co-authored by Acosta, "The Hidden Face of Free Trade Accords", Correa denounced free trade, he wrote that in his judgement Neo-liberal globalization will last as long as it benefits the United States. Given that premise it shouldn't last much longer.
