apart from some wishful thinking/best case scenarios, they haven't given us any news that hasn't been already baked in
we're doing exactly what they asked
firing local villagers that had perhaps their first good paying job
they probably all were actually already improving their standard of living including medical and education for their children
but because of THE LAW, we can't play together anymore
and we're taking our ball home too....
no more pay cheques
no more help with your community centres,
no morer repairs to your church,
no more helping local farmers get deeds to your farms,
no more purchasing local vegetables, chickens, and frogs,
no more local construction of wood products such as core boxes,
no more use of local transport services for sample and people transport,
no more local road construction and maintenance,
no more bridge construction,
no more provision of computers to local schools,
no more support of teachers,
no more rehabilitation of local sports facilities.
not that the villagers will be ticked off at this turn of events
but I'm sure that with every parting cheque, we're explaining exactly who caused all of this...Alberto Acosta
and in case you don't know what he looks like...here's a photo, so you can spot him when you are protesting in Quito
