It occurs to me that our employees probably don't have any state unemployment protection, or if they do, it would be a small amount.
If Aurelian were to set up a relief fund for our employees, I'd have no problem cutting a check for $100 a month, to a maximum of 6 months. This is a small amount for me, compared to what's at stake.
I have no difficulty relating to what our employees are going through at this moment. I've been out of work and dead broke a couple of times in my life. Fortunately I didn't have a family to support at the time, but it doesn't take a lot of imagination to picture the distress of those who do.
These people have worked hard for us, and in good faith. We share a common misfortune here. The difference is, we're in a position to help.
