It's not meant to get everyone off the hook. Your initial comment simply deserved a reply. No one believes Aurelian has done everything perfectly here but wanting to go it alone as opposed to selling had nothing to do with them. If you want to say that the companies in Ecuador misread the government's intentions or should have known the April 18 stuff was coming down the pipe then you might have a small argument. Then again judging by the reaction of the companies it appears they were genuinely blindsided.

Yes, we all know the poilitics down there are difficult but if that gets sorted out shortly which is definitely possible then the upside here is huge.
