Now, now !! Don't mislead the public. I'm sure you know there were exactly the same amount of shs. sold as bot. Maybe you meant there were 53 sellers & 46 buyers of the same number of shs. I don't think you can determine that statistic. I've currently nothing better to do.

I'm sure you realize that the full expression goes "there were more sellers than buyers at that price. More accurately, there were more who wanted to sell at that price than wanted to buy, so sellers had to lower their offer.

There is a case, however, where more sellers may exist than buyers. That's when the Market Maker steps up and fulfills his obligation. The MM is still a buyer of course, but for different reasons.
