The company whose shareholders were better than its management
I'm risking some flack again but again....it is imperative that Canadian mining companies can distance themselves from the mentality some of our neighbors to the south have shown and that some Canadian companies such as PDG had shown in the past and prove that we are a green country with green plans, green cars, green projects, green lawns, green backhoes, green front end loaders, green soap and green bubble things and show that we know how to be all things to all people, compromise, create jobs and get the greenies on our side, somehow, some way. We need to think and operate out of the box and really get...
green bubble things! YES!!!
I'm going to take your suggestion and run with it!
OK, stay with me here. This Green Theme isn't going away any time soon, right? So why not make some money off it? It's got to be easier than mining.
I'm thinking back to 1999 when it was all about the internet and dot-coms. Lots of money was made selling that fantasy. It had the Ring of Truth (tm), something you could spin, which is why people bought into it so heavily. Who cared about valuations? Buyers weren't interested in that. They just wanted something they could brag up to their friends to show how hip they were. Well, isn't this the same thing? Green initiatives, Green power, Green subsidies.... ah, now you're talking!
A lot of money has been thrown at this thing already, and there's plenty more to come. These are early days for fleecing the Greens, my friends. Lots of opportunities to transfer their Green into your wallet.
Hell, who cares about productive investment <yawn> when there's all those green sheep waiting to be shorn! If they want to pull the wool over their own eyes, great! I'll be right there selling them fluffy green hats at 1000% markup.
Hey, thanks Kerrisdale! Ideas this good are hard to find.
