You want rose coloured glasses?
I think there has been plenty of negativity on the board and in a sense I welcome that. No one wants to be blindsided again. Not us, not management. But I think the pendulum has swung to the extreme where we are almost hesistant to post anything positive in fear that we are branded "looking through rose coloured glasses". Pullleeeease............
For those of you that have sold your shares please close this message now.
For those of you intent on posting something negative, start making notes.
For the rest of you, relax for a moment...
We have spent the last month honed in on stressing the downside, stressing the worst case scenarios, hell we even tolerate the new Fatman postings....
But gold is headed back higher, People are talking of $1600-$5000 gold
No one has removed the gold we have..at the very minimum 14 mm oz in FDN and Bonza....
But practically more like 20+ million ounces
We have $50 mm in the kitty
Contrary to the worst case scenarios....I believe we will end up with at least as many concessions as we started off with, and maybe more
If you want to look at a Canadian exploration company in Ecuador that would be the example to all as to how to interact with the locals...one would look to Aurelian
We've assisted with community centres, a church, medical centre, helping local farmers get deeds to their farms, local purchasing programs for vegetables, chickens, and frogs; local construction of wood products such as core boxes; use of local transport services for sample and people transport; and close dialogue with local and provincial governments in order to ensure that mining is part of regional development plans. Aurelian also has taken important direct actions such as local road construction and maintenance, bridge construction, provision of computers to local schools, support of teachers, medical, and rehabilitation of local sports facilities. Aurelian has a growing nursery for use in reforestation programs and is committed to advancing ecological knowledge and understanding of the Condor region.
The Shuar have come out forcefully in our favour...they want us back up and running asap
Excellent management- people can complain that some insider selling went on, but if that were a serious forecast of things to come, why didn't Keith Barron sell 7 million of his 14 million shares up front instead of 40,000 at a time
Our 7 (SEVEN) drills are on site, or close by in Ecuador, it won't take long to get them fired up again. How did we do on regional targets?
1 powerful deep drill that was working on the western fault...Did we find anything?
How much aerotem airborne testing got completed? Did we find anything?
a lower cut off of 2.3 g/t!!!...updates to come from Micon...
We've heard that mining laws should follow Chile/Peru
We've heard royalty estimate is 3-5%,
We haven't heard anything on WFT taxes lately...
Draft mining law should be completed by May 29th...how soon will it be made public?
Will we finalize the company-governmental agreement?
Patrick says enough to keep anyone busy exploring for 15-20 years,...largest find in 15+ years by a junior, recovery grades of 85-95+%
Don't tell me the majors are too afraid of the politics to bid.....are you kidding? Would we maximize our price if the politics got ironed out? You bet...but either way, a mine life is 30 years plus....how many Correas will come and go....how much weight do you put on one presidential term.
How many will be kicking themselves in the ass for the next 30 years. Gold is a tough game. You have to be a Peter Munk to appreciate the risks taken. It's just part of the game. This is just an OPPORTUNITY.
Unless I'm mistaken, we are the biggest recent find out there. They are looking at juniors with 1-3 million oz as a decent buying opportunity.
Insitu prices will skyrocket....
FDN will be sold leaving balance of property spun off for future exploration...
How many people do you think the majors have in Quito right now sniffing around the politics?
There are billions at stake.
And then there's CHINA.
What should we look for in the next little while????
-completion to the dog and pony show re mining
-positive comments from Serrano and Chiriboga
-positive comments on mining from Correa
-muted acceptance from Acosta
-muted optimism from Aurelian management and other exploration companies
-draft mining laws completed by May 29th
-publication of draft mining laws that are acceptable and up to international standards
-acceptable new lease rates for ?additional' concessions
-statement to the fact that all concessions will remain
-miners rehired well before 180 day max
-drills brought back and running
-positive news pipeline starts including drill results, updated micon reports, western fault status, regional drilling status, aerotem work restarting
-first bid from a major, and subsequent bids from others interested
-sale of FDN and spinoff of other property for exploration
Nobody said the ride would be smooth
Rose coloured glasses? Hardly. Cautiously optimistic? Hell ya.
Call me a pumper...my name is safeharbour....
All hands on deck. We're doin a head count.
Long and Strong.
NO FEAR.
