It's not redneck humor, it's gallows humor. At a guess, I'd say English isn't your first language. I speak a few myself, so I can understand the confusion. Believe me, I didn't intend to make light of Stalin's crimes. Quite the opposite. I used irony (or was it sarcasm?) to show exactly where the kind of "thinking" coming from the AP can lead.

I disagree. I think there's more environmentalists here than get credit. What I object to is this "greener than thou" arrogance. I had a taste of it this afternoon when 1000 cyclists shut down our city core, which they do on a regular basis now, with a massive bike ride for god knows what purpose. To make everybody late? To slow down emergency vehicles? To have 1000 cars idling downtown with everyone (including themselves) breathing the fumes?

Pure selfish stupidity from smarmy, uneducated brats who think they know something because they saw it on the internet. The kind of knee-jerk radicalism that quickly becomes a mass movement, and before you know it everyone is forced to ride a bicycle, even if they prefer to walk.

In fact, I think I'll start a mass movement of my own to get people off these damn bicycles. For one thing, they're a lethal threat to pedestrians, as anyone can tell you who's ever tried walking in Vancouver. Then there's all the metals they use: steel, aluminum, chromium, vanadium, titanium etc. That stuff is really BAD for the environment and should be BANNED because it hurts the planet. Yep. People really need to walk a lot more, and I'm just the kind of guy to make that happen!

Beside that I am happy to have you on the Forum for your tireless digging up of Facts on the Auralian Story.When you have Time I would strongly sugest to read up on Stalin,Hitler,Mosulini,Bush and all the other Mass Murderers that have in the Past and are raising Havoc at the Present on this Planet so not to make stupid Comments like the one abaut Stalin.

You forgot Mao and Pol Pot, not to mention Kodos. I don't think I need to be educated on this stuff. I've been fighting it all my life. Trouble is, people insist on identifying the crime with a particular political philosophy. They suffer from the delusion that their politics are better than everyone else's, and that's EXACTLY where the trouble starts. Next thing you know, someone is hustling someone else off to be "reeducated" and when they get tired of that, they simple "liquidate" them. After all, they don't "think" like us, so why should we consider them human?

That's what I'm against.
