Some time ago I suggested that what we might be seeing with Correa and Acosta was a good cop/bad cop scenario. That the whole idea of a split was nothing but political theatre designed to keep the party together. I also suggested that Acosta had no political ambitions (from the horse's mouth) and that he was the kind of guy who could be taken at his word. Now read the latest from our good friend otto:

I'm not sure I entirely agree at this point, but it's a view worth considering. Meanwhile, I'm working on my own theory which I'll post when I know what it is. Or maybe I should post it now, and then think about it? That would be in keeping with the Kafkesque nature of this never-ending saga...
