The company whose shareholders were better than its management
I just wanted to make sure everyone agrees that this is what we are looking forward to in the coming weeks/months. Please feel free to correct or discuss....
June 27- New Mining Law Unveiled...The official presentation of the draft mining law to Correa and it should be made public at the same time. Mr. Anderson advises that they have seen the draft and it looks very workable. If this is the case, a huge plus for ARU. Also, you can rest assure that Correa has been seeing the working draft all along so this is by no means a big surprise to him..it's just the official presentation.
June/July- Chiriboga road show (international) educating the market about the new mining law. Permaflation asked the question at the AGM...Why travel the world touting a mining law that has not yet been passed? It doesn't really make sense. Correct. So we have to be seeing the passing of the law in the near future for any of this to make sense.
July 26- (1) Constitution draft completed, and (2) Assembly disbanded. The likelihood of this being ready on time is looking better with Cordero taking the bull by the horns and the assembly now working double shifts (8 hours a day) plus a single on Saturdays. Remember...the only reason for the assembly to exist is to create the constitution. Once the draft is completed, the assembly is disolved and no longer exists...ever. This leaves only the president.
Post July 26- Appointment of Congressillo. We are then assuming the president must appoint a Congressillo (small congress) perhaps 20 person team appointed by Correa himself, therefore, it reflects Correas own beliefs.
Post July 26- This Congressillo would be asked to vote to accept new mining law and pass it.
Post July 26- Back to work. When? Before or after passing the draft mining law into law? If after, it would be sometime after July 26....If before, it could be anytime after the publication of the draft. June 27. It sounds like Patrick would like to wait til its in concrete before going back to work. Remember back a month or two... Serrano said they would like to get the miners back to work by late August, not October.
I would also like to underline the fact that it sounds like we have a coiled spring loaded with upcoming news to be released (after we are back to work)
