All you need is opening two trading accounts (say one with TD, the other with CIBC). The TD account you sell 500 shares and the CIBC account you buy 500 shares, all in the open market. When the volume is low, and you may be the only buy and sell in the market, you can virtually keep doing that by putting in lower and lower bids to artificially knock down the share price. That's selling to yourself in a nutshell.

This is likely the oldest game in the stock market, just like the oldest profession in the wrold - its immoral. I just hope these people get caught when they are doing the world oldest hobby (you can figure out what that is).
