Why aren't we back at work

As was raised in Fearless's post, Why aren't we back working like some of the other miners that never stopped. I'd rather pay people down there 100% of their wages to do work rather than 50% of their wages to do squat.
The way things are working out we really are going to sit here doing nothing for close to the 180 days (more than ninety have already gone by)
