I was just checking how high that short could have been set at
(we have no idea of course who the shorts are)
this is all just speculation
ARU had a 52 week high of $10.23
but AUREF had a 52 week high of $10.93
when you ask? on Nov 2nd 2007
let's see..what was happening around that time I can't seem to recall....oh yes....
"On NOVEMBER 5/07 Kinross was provided access to a ARU data room. (ARU closed @ $9.69)"
imagine if "someone" shorted say 15,000,000 shares at $10.93 and covered at say $4.75 a profit of $6.18 a share on the short or....$92,700,000
and then on the upside, what if this stock actually sold where it should..in the $20 to $30 range (not to Kinross obviously) let's use a mid $25 figure for arguement
so "they" would also benefit from a run up of $4.75 to $25.00 , so
a potential profit of $20.25 per shares times 15,000,000 or $303,750,000
not only that... add a break up fee of $43,000,000
a tidy profit of $439,450,000 almost half a billion for doing?
oh.....that's right.....nothing
things that make you go hmmmm.............
