Now this really bugs me. Instead of offering more for my shares Kinross is going to pay someone to browbeat me into tendering.
Have you ever tried to cancel a cell phone contract. When you call with that simple request the guy will keep you on the phone for an hour just refusing to fulfil your request until he has made every special offer or rebate to keep you in the plan. I am sure the guy gets a commission if he suceeds in changing your mind.
I suggest that when each of the Aurelian crew gets their call from Scotia, instead of venting we politely ask them WHY we should tender. We should act stupid and keep them on the phone as long as possible. It could go something like this;
"So could you explain the details of this offer?"
"Golly, what exactly IS a Warrant?"
You get the idea but I would end with;
"You know I am just not sure about this. Why don't you give me 24 hours to think about it and call me back tommorrow"
Lets make this the most expensive project in telephone and staff costs that Scotia has ever undertaken. Let's remember that it only takes one phone call to Sprott or to find out what his plans are but it will take thousand of calls to reach us Retails. This is one area where we can cause them just a little bit of pain.
