Just emailed andrew bell and tried to keep the general tone as positive as I could. I hope it works better that the nasty email or two he got.
Andrew,
As a viewer, I regularily watch your shows and for the most part I find it informative and interesting. I know that most of the questions with guests are prepared and having too many impromtu questions would create a show that lacks flow and may cause problems with certain guests. I applaude your efforts in attempting to bring up the issue with dissedent Aurelian shareholders, however by backing down, it only shows that BNN is more concered about representing the large corporations and not reporting the real news behind the takeover bid. By minimalizing the issue of the online protest, many shareholders would not research youtube, yahoo buzz, www.stockhouse.com and most importantly www.agoracom.com to find out the valid concerns about the takeover bid and Aurelian management. At the end of BNN shows, there is a comment on due dilligance and to do your own reseach. You should have mentioned the discontent of some shareholders and let the viewing public make their own decisions about the current situation. In closing, the group that opposes the takeover bid is not a "right wing group" that are on a rampage. It is a group of informed investors that want answers to questions that the Aurelian board and public relations are not willing to answer. This is a real story. If this news story does not come to fruishion on BNN before September 3rd, it will be even bigger news in the spring when the OSC reveals its findings.
Please research this further,
Thank you
