Just received the Aurelian Directors' Circular and was astonished to read three pages of dense print under the heading: "Background to the Kinross Offer and Response of Aurelian".

I had not realized and have not seen any comprehensive reference on this Board over the past few months to the fact that the Aurelian and Kinross destinies have been closely entwined since early 2006 and almost certainly long before that. The record sets forth that these companies have been hand-in-hand and hand-in-glove (cahoots) all along. The biggest surprise would have been if Kinross had let Aurelian slip away without trying every trick in and out of the book. No doubt much more confabulation exists off the record.

T'his whole scenario is obviously the fruit of a long thought-out plan by inside-knowledgeable people. I suspect they have another trick or two or three up their sleeves!
