It is not a retail shareholder because retail shareholders in the USA can not short Foreign Stocks that are not listed on a US system like the NYSE or the AMEX. The ordinary joe can not short AUREF in the USA.

If the 13Million US short position of AUREF is real then it has to be one of the "Preferred" people like the hedge funds....etc...who don't have to follow normal shareholder rules...
