Poker players don't flinch. These guys are just enjoying their cigar.

Chess players are even more impenetrable, and think much further ahead. If a piece on the board isn't threatening, you don't waste time trying to knock it off. Kinross has some experience with chess. It's a popular game in Russia. Unfortunately, they've made a couple of bad moves which expose their flank.
