well Barrick and Newmont have joint-ventured a few mines, and seems to exist is close quarters at other projects. Even that Australian project where they are JV's, I believe the cost per ounce was in excess of $800. Now that's high! But no need for either to have 20-40mm oz of $170 Aurelian gold now is there.....
