and I came across this for what its worth. The last 2 sentences on wikipedia.

Barrick's Chief Executive Greg Wilkins indicated that the company would look elsewhere for acquisition opportunities. More recently, the company is reported to be eyeing Aurelian Resources [4] in Ecuador.
