mine are back in today. schwab arbitrarily decided to cancel my offers, but at least they gave me a phone call to tell me that. i told him that yes indeed, i wanted to offer them at that ridiculous price, and i didn't care how far it was from the current market price.
even though i've had those shares listed for more than two weeks, he said i couldn't do it, so i asked him to look at the level 2 quotes. he started mumbling something about 99 shares at 5.49 and 200 shares at 5.51. i told him to look at all the shares listed at 20 and higher, and he said his screen didn't go that high.
by this time i was completely exasperated, and politely (more or less) suggested he talk to someone who knew what he was doing, although not in those words. he finally agreed to call the toronto stock exchange. a few minutes later he called me back and told me it was ok for me to put the orders back in again.
so i told him it was ok with me for him to put the orders back in, seeing as it was his bright idea to remove them in the first place. i've never had a problem with schwab before, but if they keep this up, they may have a cameo in my next video.
